Through this piece the artist Lusansu Teddy explains to us the hierarchization of the unreal and real world as the foundation of the narratives of African peoples, where the pre-existing takes precedence above all else because money is the equivalent of blood and power, with a deity serving as a reference point for all foundation. He evokes the meaning of money in the society we live in, where ancestors (both good and bad ancestors who have become intermediaries between mediums, NGANGA, and men) play a significant role. After the exhumation of their fossils and during the second burial, they integrate Nzimbu or money in the form of a snail to confirm their status as ancestors or the act of ancestralization, which they invoke in case of problems. By incorporating cowries or Nzimbu as currency in African tradition, the artist Lusansu invites us to critically analyze the deportation of human values and potential from the African continent.
