Celebrating my third piece of Shona stone art from ArtsofAfrica a stone fish in Butter Jade which will look fantastic floating across my lawn. Process very simple, asked for more natural photographs of the piece and very pleased I did as I was able to gage the overall piece. In truth the pieces in the flesh far out shine the photographs. Augustine again was excellent and arrange not only delivery to my nearest airport but also directly to my door. ArtsofAfrica.co.uk – I found this web site after visiting various sculpture parks in the UK. What started then as a general interest in Shona Stone Art (I already own a few choice pieces) quickly moved forward into buying one and then a second sculpture. Now, I have to admit that in this day of scams-a-plenty there was an initial trepidation, but any initial concerns, questions and requests were expertly dealt with by Augustine whose manner, expertise and professionalism reassured me through out. Naturally the very keen prices being offered were a great incentive. The purchase price included shipping to my local airport in my case Heathrow where I could arrange collection should I so wish, however this was not convenient and out of my comfort zone having never imported Sculpture before. Augustine again stepped in and arranged Global Container Services to quote then to collect and process the sculptures through Customs and on to the final destination. The complete delivery crate totaled !50kg and the various charges in the UK Customs, Tax and delivery to the house came to £325. The sculpture was very well packaged in both a solid and secure packing case (one of the pieces – two birds in flight from a single piece of stone being potentially quite delicate – the second piece a round Shona head piece equally oozes quality). Both pieces are signed by the artists, they have exceeded my expectations and create presence and feel, the skill of the Artists is to be applauded bringing out the natural beauty of the stone which in itself is very tactile and will make a positive talking point as objects of art both in the garden and around the house. Buy with confidence, trust in Augustine and cut out the middlemen. I certainly will be back for at least one more piece. See Verified Review here
