Givemore Mashaya

Givemore Mashaya is a Zimbabwean sculptor born in 1982 in Nyanga. He received his primary and secondary education at Mazarura school. Mashaya's sculptures are deeply rooted in everyday life, often abstract, yet thought-provoking. His work frequently features human figures, animals, and dynamic movements.

Mashaya's artistic journey began at the tender age of 16, and in 1999, he moved to Harare to hone his skills alongside his brothers. Renowned sculptor Cloud Nyanhongo was his first mentor, guiding him in the craft. Over the years, Mashaya has developed a passion for working with diverse, vibrant stones, including Vediete, Springstone, Serpentine, Granite, Butterjade, Opal, Dolomite, and Red Jasper.

Mashaya's talent has garnered international recognition, with his sculptures exhibited in numerous countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, South Korea, America, Austria, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He has also participated in various exhibitions and workshops worldwide, including in the Netherlands, France, Canada, the UK, America, and Austria.

Today, Mashaya continues to travel the world, showcasing his art and participating in workshops and exhibitions. His sculptures remain highly sought after, appreciated by art enthusiasts globally.
